As a free spirited woman, I must give my blessing to the infamous comment of the Archbishop of Canterbury concerning the accommodation of Sharia law within the British legal system. Yes, I am all for it. Naturally, the accommodation will entail immediate repatriation of all Muslim subjects to the jurisdiction of their home Kalifats. From a safe distance we can then accommodate Sharia with full generosity and tolerance of our Christian hearts. Of course, Muslims who are happy to submit to this sovereign state's laws will be more than welcome to do so within our borders, which I am led to believe, still stand.
As for the Archbishop of Canterbury and his recognition of religious minorities' laws, what do you expect from a leader of a Church which was set up by a serial killer? The retribution has to start at home.
Of course, history can't be his strongest pursuit. It seems he forgot that his Church needs to first and foremost seek absolution from us, the Catholic. We have been reduced to a religious minority in this country largely as a result of C of E sponsored persecutions. So I think the Archbishop may have misplaced his plea for forgiveness. It went to the wrong religious minority, I fear.
Or maybe, the cunning old fox is already negotiating with the future undisputed religious majority for his own Church's chance to survive under their rule? I'm sure under Sharia, he will rightly get what's coming to him.In all likeness he will have to convert to Islam but going by the leading example of one Tony Blair, abandoning CofE seems the latest fashion trend amongst the elites.
Never mind them withering protestants! We, the stout Catholics will go on in our dignified underground Resistance.
Allo! Allo!
